Hello Friends of Family Promise of Clark County, We are continually encouraged by the ways our supporters and volunteers step up in BIG ways to support the work of Family Promise of Clark County. As a valued partner, we want to make sure you are aware of some important events coming up that will help further advance our mission in our community. First, every year The Columbian holds a Best of Clark County contest, where community members are able to vote for the "Best of" in a variety of categories. Last year, we were fortunate enough to be a finalist, in the nonprofit services category, but didn't end up winning. We are hoping to change that this year. There are many great organizations doing good work in our community. Having the distinction of being "Best of Clark County" would be a huge honor for our young organization. The nomination round is NOW through Sunday April 24th. Please nominate us today at: https://www.columbian.com/contests/best-of-clark-county-2022/#/gallery/318065907 Additionally, we have two very important events coming up that we would love your attendance at. On Monday April 25th we are recognizing the many volunteers who support our programs and on Wednesday June 1st we are having our annual Serving Promise, Raising Hope - Dinner and Auction. Announcing Partners for Promise, Family Promise Clark County’s monthly giving program
Our Partners for Promise club members help children and families avoid or recover from homelessness every month with their automatic regular gifts.
Will you join us in the fight against family homelessness? For less than the cost of a cup of coffee every day for a month, you can help transform lives.
With a regular monthly donation of $10 or more, as a Sustaining Partner you’ll receive a monthly email from our Executive Director to keep you apprised of our latest news and accomplishments and we’ll waive your ticket cost for our annual dinner/fundraising event. Patron Partners who give $100 a month or more will also be invited to a year-in-review event with the Executive Director.
All Partners for Promise members will be listed as valued donors on a dedicated webpage on our website – either by name or as an anonymous donor, if you wish.

Updated: Jan 31, 2021
When we opened our doors on March 31, 2019 we had no idea that less than a year later so much would change and our program would become even more essential to our community and the families we serve.
As a program, we have continued to adapt and change as we navigate these unprecedented times. We have learned what our families need to truly be successful and have been working on building a program that fits these needs. One of the largest needs has been educational support.
In December of 2020 we received a grant from the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) to provide assistance to children experiencing homelessness in our community. In partnership with PAX learning center, we are opening a classroom that will be equipped to serve up to 25 children to support their education through virtual and hybrid learning.
Families with children in the program will have access to a family living room and will receive case management services. Not only will their children be receiving the educational support they need, but these families will be have a warm and safe space to work on their employment and housing goals.
We are so excited for this opportunity to provide a much needed service to the Camas/Washougal community, but we need your help! We have a classroom and living room to furnish and our grant funding can only stretch so far. If you would like to help please follow the link below to see what we need.
If you are interested in volunteering with this program, please email us at info@familypromiseofclarkco.org.
We thank you for your continued support over the last nearly 2 years and look forward to what 2021 will bring!
