To our family and friends, The health of our volunteers, staff and guests is very important to Family Promise of Clark County. We have developed a plan to ensure we are responding adequately and appropriately to all guidelines issued by federal, state, and local government. We will continue to stay informed and update these plans as things develop. If you would like to help support Family Promise of Clark County at this time, we are looking for donations to support our families as they shelter in place. Thank you.

We are continuing to support families as they shelter in place in hotel rooms. We are grateful for the continues support of the community as we navigate through this unprecedented time. The outpouring of community support has been phenomenal. A special thanks to our host congregations as they continue to provide meal provisions for families as well as care packages.

Although our families are currently sheltering in hotel rooms, we are actively seeking landlords willing to work with FPCC to rent out apartments, duplexes, etc. during this time.  This is a more cost effective solution than the current hotel rooms.  If you know of anyone willing and interested to work with us, please call the day center phone number at (360)210-5165.

Please see our volunteer page for volunteer opportunities.

Thank you all for your support during this time.

Beginning June 20, 2020 community members across the nation will be taking part in Family Promise’s first national Night Without a Bed sleepout to raise awareness and funds to support children and their families who are experiencing homelessness.

Family Promise of Clark County is adding a fun twist to their efforts by having a “Night Without a Bed Challenge.” With this challenge, community members will sleep 1 night anywhere besides the comfort of their own bed and encourage others to do the same. This could include sleeping in a car, in a tent, couch, or even on the living room floor.

To participate in the Night Without A Bed Challenge, you are encouraged to:

  1. Take the Night Without a Bed Challenge: and to post videos/pictures of their experience on Social Media using the hashtag: #nightwithoutabed and tagging @familypromiseofclarkcounty.

  2. Visit Family Promise of Clark County’s website and donate as you are able.

  3. Like and follow Family Promise of Clark County on Facebook.

  4. Challenge at least 3 of your friends to also take part in the challenge and share their experiences.

Please don’t wait to be challenged! If you desire to participate in this challenge, please accept our invitation to participate and begin challenging others to do the same!

Not on Facebook? No problem! Please share your experience with us by emailing us at info@familypromiseofclarkco.org and tell us about your experience! You are encouraged to also email us pictures and video messages of your experience, with the understanding that we are able to share your experiences with our community of supporters.

Our goal is to raise both awareness and funding so that we can continue our work in making sure children and their families have access to safe and affordable housing. Every $1 donated is matched three times over by community and in-kind resources.

Here at Family Promise of Clark County we are not simply enduring, we are flourishing...the outpouring of support we have received from the community has been beyond amazing.

Our congregational partners continue to provide for our families...

the meals that are now delivered to them provide not just sustenance, but a sense of normalcy...allowing adults and children alike to know that they are seen...that they are cared for...that they are loved!

Your support has also meant that we are able to respond with compassion to our graduate families during this unprecedented crisis.

Despite the need for social distancing during this challenging time, volunteering and community remain at the core of Family Promise of Clark County. Thank you for the donations of supplies, food, and funds to continue to help families experiencing homelessness.

We wish to acknowledge the following organizations that have provided significant gifts that are enabling us to continue to help families in homeless situations achieve sustainable independence.

One of the core elements of Family Promise has always been building community. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington's COVID Response Fund for the $30,000 grant award. COVID Relief Funds were made possible through a rapid-response grant from the SW Washington COVID Response Fund, a pooled emergency fund managed by the Community Foundation of Southwest Washington.

Cascades Presbyterian Church inquired about ways in which to help....and in an expression of community...we received a $10,000 grant to our COVID-19 Relief Fund.

Thanks to the Camas-Washougal Community Chest we also received another $9,000 grant towards our COVID-19 relief fund.

Because of our community of volunteers, congregations, foundations, donors and friends Family Promise of Clark County is not simply enduring, we are flourishing. Your food, supplies and financial support allows us to fulfill our mission and uphold the well-being and success of the families we serve, today, next month, and into the future.
